About us

100 years serving the families in our community

Harvey Bowler Funeral Services has been caring and helping families in the Horowhenua Kapiti regions since 1923. As the longest serving funeral company in the region, we still have physical records that date back to 1943.

The Harvey family began providing funeral services for the Horowhenua from 1923 and operated them as part of its joinery business until 1974 when Milton and Airini Bowler purchased the business. At a later date, the name was changed to Harvey Bowler.

In 2004, the firm was purchased by Michael and Liz Hill ensuring local ownership and continuing family traditions.
